How can a UAE buyer check a halal certification body?

Use the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology directory to check the issuing body's legal name, recognition scope and validity. Its accreditation directory lists Shaanxi Shang Pin Yuan (SSPY) for halal product certification.

  • Confirm the exact legal name of the issuing body.
  • Review current registration and accreditation scope on the official portal.
  • Ask the issuer to validate the individual product certificate.
02

What must be checked on the feed ingredient certificate?

Match manufacturer, site, ingredient name, processing aids and allowed scope. Compare the certificate dates and number with the goods and shipment documents. Review organic and halal certificates by their respective product scopes.

  • Request a signed, current product certificate.
  • Check whether the certificate includes the offered ingredient and manufacturing site.
  • Link batch records, COA and invoice descriptions.
03

Which import documents accompany halal evidence?

UAE MOCCAE publishes services for animal feed approval and import permits. Saudi SFDA publishes feed clearance requirements. Confirm the route for the ingredient with the importer and destination authority.

  • Classify the material before selecting the service route.
  • Confirm current importer licence and product approval requirements.
  • Prepare halal, organic, feed safety and import documents for review.

Questions to settle before a feed inquiry

Is checking the halal body enough for the ingredient I buy?

Check both the issuing body and the individual product certificate. Match the ingredient, manufacturer, manufacturing site, certificate scope and valid dates to the offered lot.

Which batch details should agree across the documents?

Compare the ingredient name, producer, site and batch reference across the certificate pack, lot COA, traceability records and commercial descriptions. Resolve mismatches before fixing the shipment.

Can organic and halal documents replace each other?

Review them separately. Organic evidence follows the relevant standard and operator-to-lot chain; halal evidence follows the ingredient, processing aids, product and site scope. Include both when your purchase requires both.
